Deep Purple…..Rocked Over Decades!!

Lucky me Lucky me Lucky me…………….was probably one of those people from the flower power days of Europe, America in late 60’s………..to Woodstock concerts around that time and on……to those rugged leather half jackets, torn jeans with Jesus hairdo or free flowing beard….to Hurley Davidson……….. to sleeping in the pavement from the night before to be in the beat in front so as to catch every breath of them……
To be in the awe (am still is) of the amazing divine music that can get created by those men from 60’s or shall we say from Planet music……..
Standing absolutely infront some times I was getting paralyzed by the pure feeling of ecstasy and disbelief to be actually there and on the same moments I was shakin like mad and head banging with the awesome creation of Deep Purple….
Words can’t express what treasure I gained being in Bangalore and to be in concert that night……
The one thing which I would have done only if I was in my senses was bow to them till eternity…..

This is not a book review or anything but i guess the media has covered google from such a close quarters that people knew most of the stuffs written in the book “Google Story”, anyways for somebody interested in Google and the type of business, this book is a good start.
Check out the Google test paper……Which is unconventional and pretty uncanny, full of surprises…..the exam is called as “Google Labs Aptitude Test” which is actually for the new hires, affectionately known as GLAT click here to get enlightened and have fun!

Well this headline was courtesy Deccan Herald. I just got a glimpse of the front page in the reading area of the office while I was walking towards my cubicle. It actually triggered a lot of thought and funny feelings in me, which was on the other hand there for all Bengali diaspora I suppose. By the words of my colleague and my “next cube neighbor” Chappel er ar sesh rokhkha holo na” ( Chappel’s fort was breached at last). Please donot miss understand me as a “Ganguly fanatic”, like the ones I often find in Kolkata or see in TV, burning effigies, doing pooja or better still clogging all roads and shouting under “Shahid Minnar” with a “Shoe garland” decorated pic of Chappel.
I actually thought that Ganguly was redundant long time(around 2 yrs) before he was thrown out in the most dishonorable way possible. However I had two points on which I did not feel right.
One is the way he was thrown out of the team, I mean there are other teams where the players are not performing the way you want them too and subsequently dropped, but this was one of the most callous way of doing it and therefore got all the prints for all the wrong reasons.
Second I actually think he was one of the most successful and favored captain when performing, and theres lot to be learned from him in that aspect by the new prospects. Which some donot agree for no conceivable reasons.
Anyway the funniest place after he joins the Team would be the “Dressing room of the men in blue”. Coz the way things went between Chappel and him, both pre and post captaincy, I don’t think they would be talking to much or worst, look at each others face. Then there would be Dravid who have to hang a friendly face knowing all to well that its not going to be like the good ol’ times when theres atleast a dozen newspaper inking about there verbal disagreements and abuses in the past.Another interesting thing to be seen would be the attitude of the young players most of whom was given break by Ganguly himself.
All in all I think the Cricket team specially the “thinktank” would be up for real long and dragging season ahead and US expecting much much more than the cricket from the team as usual !!
