On the backdrop of a lovely Wednesday evening, a little overcast but pleasant,
I was in a little odd and abrupt way (at around 8 pm) in a club called “WoodRose” in Brigade Millennia ….This place is really good and gives a pretty posh impression to start with (comparable with any five star clubs I have gone to) though the roads which leads to that place has a different story to tell!…..Okay the day was a Valentine’s Day and being a weekday people still for some reasons wanted to celebrate it ……some with their wife and even kids and some with their girlfriends, now there must be some logic behind taking out a person who u stay with day in and out or would probably never see again for the rest of ur life…..yea must be reasonable enough than our mindless get-togethers in the weekends for probably another successful week in the office………
Okey I was in the club to see my friends perform in the celebration, with their new found band (GOONJ) and band members…… must say was really excited to see them perform and u know see them grow from there……Strangely they had enough confidence in me to appoint me as one of the anchors for their night….for me it was cool enough to hang around with them on and around the dais…. not only because they where good but also because they had the heart and conviction to do something like this in the time and situations we are in……
The music was good with around four lead singers on dais and taking on the audience in turns………….must say the songs where well prepared, new and timely…..few where as good as it can be and comparable or better than any pro groups doing the rounds……
Other than few forgettable glitches with the sounds and sundry I thought with the kindo potential and passion and the knowledge of right technology, they have enough gun powder to survive and make it big in days to come……
Had a wonderful evening with a classy audience and soulful songs, not discounting on the anchoring we did with a well formed script, well in advance…..
All in all a big thanks to all six of them and a hope that Goonj becomes louder in the future!!
