The name is Bolt….Usain Bolt!!

The most glorious event on earth, Men’s 100 mts.

Asafa powel was good but i thought his performances were a little erratic off late, but i actually had a lot of hope on Tyson Gay, specially after his wind aided 9.68 secs run for the American Olympic qualifying team.

Usain Bolt was the only one who is comparatively new to the world competition arena, i mean he was definitely a threat after his 9.71 in world-cup…..people say he does not get nervious usually and it looks like he is actually having fun while racing, cause the way he kind of slowed down and did his jigg he could have easily come in sub 9.6.

Anyways he is just 22 yrs and am sure we are in a threash hold of quite a few world record breaks, including 200 mts (Micheal Jhonson said that himself).

I actually wonder how these small island like nations can come up so largely in these big occasions….just for a note, the women hundred meters event was all Jamica. i actually shoud be wondering how they did it and what the hell we are doing in here.

Dandeli Delight!!

This one is sort of a blast from the past as promised!!

I had a pretty adventurous time in July, got couple of trips out; in two weekends. One was a five star expensive retreat in Mahaballipuram, were half the time went in thinking what ‘m doing there midst of NRIs, foreigners and expesive scotchs and other half….well admiring them!!

Well this post is more about the second trip, that I had to a place called Dandeli, it was a jungle resort supposedly in the middle of a hmm….jungle, and by a “croc” habitat river called ‘Kali”.
Well it was an official one and you know as they say “Team Building Trip”.

We did nothing but team building activities from morning till late evenings after which people felt like getting drunk like crazy and then sleep in that mosquito infested jungle, we couldn’t see even a single wild animal other than some monkeys hopping around munching on some do-gooders chips packet and then returning the pleasantries by running away with people’s underwares kept out for drying. People’s frustrations went up to the levels of clicking pics. of cows at our jungle trek unable to find anything else, and some girl’s hapless cheer of “Deer Deer” only came out to be a bunch of goats chewing grass in the jungle.

Moreover I heard one of the groups actual saw a wild boar, even there by the time “Wild boar” word spreads among the whole group walking in a straight line, the word got morphed to “Wild wh_re”……and people started looking for something else making the boar uninterested and leave.
Anyways the less said about the activities the better as among umpteen no. of so called games we played raft building and rafting were something actually worthwhile done there (the one in the photo).
I couldn’t see any team building happening there….what happened was more groupisms and stuffs “which are more fun doing than writing about.”

I guess having a free trip like this only makes you go to a trip like the one in Mahaballipuram with mermaid like firangs and NRIs passing time in pool however darn expensive it might be.

Gold!!

Well this is a good change!!……….What say countrymen.

A country of more than a billion started out with absolutely no hopes of winning a medal, left alone a gold; woke up with a sweet surprise today when National Anthem was played with Abhinav Bindra on the podium.

Till yesterday no body was following the Beijing Olympics 08 where China and USA are running there own race on the medals tally, with countries probably a little bigger than a district in India blowing their trumpet of Glory. We were still stuck up with this silly cricket that to a test match were India’s performance as usual pretty miserable.

I don’t know how many people will now send their kids for shooting practice after this, with of-course sundry other trainings like singing, dancing, painting, cricket (with so many reality shows coming up on these).

One thing I surely hope for is that at least now the “Government” should inject a little more money on sports and make the whole system little more transparent for the sake of the players.

All the authorities, sports bodies are engrossed into so much of this unhealthy politics with few officials and politicians the only beneficiaries, I guess somebody should tell them that it’s almost 30 years we were without a medal, what good is this system.

Have anybody heard of reboot of Brain….

cause I sincerely think that as we go into this work mode which is pretty much an autopilot thing where every morning you know what time you are going to wake up and where u need to go, what u need to do, when and how you are going to get screwed….Things becomes pretty much the same and you get trapped into a pattern.

Life has almost rotated 360 degrees as the world did since the last post of mine.

There is no start or end to this scribble as I guess it’s sort of an ice breaker between me and my blog all over again.

There is so many things which have had happened since, that the feeling of writing is almost overwhelming…… I won’t be logging my life’s changes and what I did thus far, as I don’t treat(well I wasn’t treating it) my blog as my daily diary. We can compare this to the sudden loud cry or scream we would probably do after been gagged for days (year in my case). There was times when I kind of wanted to rush back and write something which were really worth writing about, but didn’t work out.

Anyways frankly I wasn’t send on an exile, jailed or was lying in bed with a perennial disease, this absence from my post was devoid of any sort of outside pressure or problem definitely not created by foreign hands!

I am still a little stiff writing my lines as we are initially when some body drags you out from the crowd for a dance, however as time goes by I’ll update stuff about things in ma’ head and in-between fill in with things that I’ve missed mentioning which is worth writing about.
